Emotional Wellness Leads Course

Build Further Digital Emotional Wellness Platform Capability

To support people who may be leaders, champions, or facilitators of the Digital Emotional Wellness Platform within community or business settings, the Emotional Wellness Team provides focused development options. These options are designed for those who want to deepen their capability beyond the Wellness Collective section of the digital platform.

Some people may already have experience facilitating groups, while others may be completely new to this work. Many are also involved in the initial planning and setup of groups, as well as the ongoing running and support of those groups. The success of Wellness Collectives depends greatly on the Lead's skill set, confidence, and ability to guide the process effectively. Regardless of their starting point, people often want to build further insight, tools, and techniques to confidently guide emotional wellness initiatives in their setting. Support is available through the Emotional Wellness Leads Course or as additional tailored guidance provided by the consulting services.

The Emotional Wellness Leads Course (2-day)

The Emotional Wellness Leads Course is designed to build clarity, confidence, and practical strategies for guiding an emotional wellness initiative within a participant's setting, whether that is a community group, service, organisation, or business.

Participants bring valuable knowledge, experience, and expertise from their own field or sector, and the course recognises and builds on this. The learning approach acknowledges that each participant understands their community or business environment best, and the course is designed to complement and strengthen the skills they already have.

This practical and engaging course, delivered over two consecutive days, provides a comprehensive understanding of the digital platform from both a user's perspective and a Lead's perspective. It also strengthens the participant's ability to use and understand the Wellness Collective section within the digital platform, ensuring they can apply it effectively in their setting. Participants will develop confidence and competence in using the digital platform, create a plan for their own Collective, and practise facilitating a Collective in a safe, supportive, and enjoyable learning environment.

The course also supports the wider responsibilities of a Lead, including planning, setting up, and running Wellness Collectives. These skills are essential, as the success of a Collective depends greatly on the Lead's capability, confidence, and ability to guide the process effectively. This part of the course is explored through self‑reflection and discussion, allowing participants to draw on their own experience, consider their strengths, and identify the approaches that best fit their community or business setting.

Prior to attending the course, participants will receive a login to the digital platform. They will be asked to navigate the digital platform to understand the sections and functionality, complete the Emotional Wellness Course section, and complete two assessments for comparison on a personal challenge using the Emotional Wellness Whirlwind Self‑Assessment Model. The challenge does not need to be deeply personal; however, using a real‑life challenge adds authenticity and depth to the learning experience. All pre‑course information will be sent well in advance to ensure participants have plenty of time to prepare.

Delivery Options: Public and In-house

The Emotional Wellness Leads Course can be delivered as a public course or as an in-house course for a specific organisation.

Public courses are run on demand and are usually limited to a maximum of 16 participants to maintain a high-quality learning experience. All venue arrangements and catering are provided as part of the public course, and courses are delivered throughout New Zealand depending on demand in each region.

In-house delivery offers flexibility around logistics. The organisation provides the venue and catering, and all participant course materials are supplied. The organisation also allocates an in-house course co-ordinator to support communication and logistics. Pricing is based on what the organisation provides in terms of venue and catering, as well as the location of the course if travel outside Auckland is required.

Participant Course Material

All participants receive a workbook, handouts, pen, certificate, and catering for public courses. For in-house courses, the organisation provides catering, while all course materials are supplied.

Public Course Investment

The public course price is $1890.00 incl. GST per participant.

Participant Digital Platform Access: 1 + 5 Subscriptions

Included in the course price is the 1 + 5 Subscriptions. Each participant receives six user 12‑month subscriptions to the digital platform (value $599.40). One subscription is for the participant, and the remaining five are allocated within their organisation to support their Collective. These five subscriptions are allocated once the course is complete and must be assigned within 30 days. Further details are provided on enquiry.

In-house Course – Group Fixed Price Offer

In-house course delivery provides substantial savings compared to public course pricing. A community group, community service, or business pays a fixed group price for either 8 or 16 participants, and the price remains the same even if fewer people attend. This option is ideal for community groups, community services, and businesses wanting to build emotional capability across a local community, team, or workplace.

Participant Digital Platform Access: 1 + 5 Subscriptions – Like the public course, with the in-house option, each participant still receives the same six user 12-month subscriptions to the digital platform. For a group of 8 participants, this provides 48 users of digital platform access valued at $4,795.20. For a group of 16 participants, this provides 96 users of digital platform access valued at $7,670.40. This level of included digital platform access adds significant value to the course, with the cost-saving of not having to purchase the digital platform separately, and gives organisations, community groups, or services a strong number of users who can build emotional capability long after the course is completed.

To meet the group size requirement, community groups, community services, or businesses may choose to combine participants with other groups, services, suppliers, partner organisations, or businesses. This offer is not limited to a single group. This can make it easier to organise and may help bring the Leads Course to your region sooner. However, there must be one in-house co-ordinator representing all participating groups or services, and one invoice issued to the main group, service, or business acting as the lead.

The Group Fixed Price supports the Community Roadshows by making the Leads Course cost-effective for communities to engage in this initiative, allowing more people to access emotional wellness capability building at a local community level.
